New Mexico Tech Faculty and staff
may check out books, government publications, and maps until the end of the Spring semester. DVD's may be checked out for three days.
Renewals: Materials can be renewed on the phone if another patron has not placed a hold on the items. Two renewals may be made by phone. After that, please bring the items to the Circulation Desk for renewal. Renewals may also be made online through your library account. Reserve materials and videos may not be renewed.
Faculty Renewal Program
To better serve our faculty, the Skeen Library has developed the Faculty Renewal Program. This program is designed to assist you with bulk book renewal. Previously, faculty were required to push, pull, or lug the contents of their bookshelves to the library for renewal. We took a fresh look at that process and we're changing it!
Annual renewals for faculty members are at the beginning of dead week in the spring semester. We will meet you in your office to renew items you wish to keep and to pick up anything you wish to return. It's that easy, call now!
To make an appointment:
- Call (x5614) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) the Circulation Desk
- Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance
- Appointments will be scheduled in 30 minute blocks, including travel time
- If you have over 20 books, please schedule a 60 minute block
- Appointments may be arranged on your behalf through your department's secretary
We are accepting appointments between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Fines: See our fines policy for information on billing for overdue and lost items.
First Time Users: If you've never used the Library, bring your New Mexico Tech ID to the Circulation Desk in order to create a patron account before checking out materials.
Online Library Account: Log in to view your account. Your online library account allows you to view items you checked out, see when they're due, and renew them online. It also grants you access to the online databases and ebooks that the Library subscribes to. Your Banner ID is your "user name."
To gain access to your online account, you must first create a library account at the Circulation Desk. Click here to set your password. It will email a temporary password to your email on file, and then you will be able to log in and change the password.
